Final Illustration

Brief Overview:

Pooch is an animal charity that rescues, shelters and rehomes dogs across Europe. They’re working on a new website that will integrate all of their offices across the continent, making it possible for people to foster and adopt dogs from different countries.

To appeal to both younger and older demographics, they want to work with a creative to compose a beautiful illustration for their homepage hero banner that shows how people can find their perfect pet and help a good cause all across Europe.

Pooch’s brand is modern and friendly, and they want this illustration to reflect the same kind of aesthetics. While they’re open to style and composition, they think a vectorial illustration would be the best approach for this project.

To start with, they want to see this illustration on both Desktop and Mobile formats:

- Desktop banner: 1600 x 900 px

- Mobile banner: 750 × 400 px

Remember that the illustration needs to work well and be visible on both formats, to help with the website responsiveness.

Reflection: I decided to draw a simple scene depicting the relationship between a girl and her newfound best friend. It is meant to incapsulate the joy and beauty of a relationship with a pet, and help motivate people to consider rescuing a pet of their own. I got carried away and came up with an idea for a mockup website that is visually striking and appealing for anyone. I chose a yellowish orange color as I feel like its a bright and innofensive color that will help set an enthusiastic mood for thinking about helping animals.
